Herbivoracious – Cookbook Author Michael Natkin Stops in Austin, TX

Austin is delighted to have blogger and cookbook author Michael Natkin make a stop in Austin, TX today to celebrate the launch of his Herbivoracious cookbook.

Michael is the creator behind the popular vegetarian website, Herbivoracious.com. He has been blogging about food for five years, and recently left his job as a programmer to devote himself full-time to food. He just piloted a successful pop-up dining experience in Seattle and has plans to expand his vision to a restaurant in the coming months.

In getting to know more about Michael and his work, he also has a focus on gluten-free recipes on his Herbivoracious.com website.  I was so excited to find this link, as I am adding in more veggies to my daily meals, but it also had me over joyed with it being National Celiac Awareness Month and what a great list of recipes to share!

Michael will be speaking to the students at The Nautral Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts later today (5-8pm) and this evening an event open to the Austin food bloggers and media will be held at Icenhauer, with delicious Oaxacan bites provided by El Naranjo.  Come meet Michael and mingle with fellow Austin foodies, enjoy some food and drinks, and hear about Michael’s experience going from food blogger to author.  Harvard Common Press will also be giving away a copy of Michael’s book to attendees.

To RSVP, click JOIN and be sure to leave a comment below with your blog name or media outlet. Looking forward to seeing you there!

If you’re tweeting from the event, please use hashtag #herbiAustin
