She’s my personal hero and I will miss her terribly when she is gone.  I am honored that she has chosen to live out her last days in my home with me.  I will miss you Grandma!

This picture is from about 1-2 months ago.  My grandmother never particularly cared for dogs which is funny because she grew up on a farm with lots of dogs, cattle, pigs, and chickens.  She worked the farm for goodness sake!  Since moving to my home last December, she has softened to my dogs (two of which are named after her and my grandfather ~ She was not amused).  But they’ve been so gentle with her in this difficult time, a tenderness that amazes me everyday and she to them, even feeding them ice cream from her spoon!
